Persons With Chronic Hip Joint Pain Exhibit Reduced Hip Muscle Strength

This study was conceived based on the assumption that people with Chronic Hip Joint Pain(CHJP) were weaker in hip external rotators and abductors than a group with no hip joint pain.

Qualifying participants were 18 to 40 years old with three months of hip pain and responded positively to testing that recreated their pain.

What was discovered was that not only did the group complaining of hip pain exhibit weakness in the joint that was bothering them, they were also weaker in their non effected side compared to the group that exhibited no pain…

RMT along with appropriate remedial exercises are recommended for people suffering with deep hip pain.
